Things I have learned in my classes!

Human Anatomy:

1. When you cry, your nose always runs... This is actually because you have some kind of hole that lets tears fall into your nose. Not because you have snot :) Weird right??

2. I got to see a step by step picture thing of my back surgery when we talked about curvatures of the spine. It was kinda cool and kinda gross at the same time. Just cause I never saw pictures of the insides, just the finished product!

3. I learned that when I am pregnant, I will be doomed... Haha.. So the teacher was talking about another curving of the spine which is called Lordosis. This curve usually comes to pregnant women. Reason: In a normal, unpregnant body, your center is in your lower stomach area and this keeps you balanced and makes it to were you don't fall over because of unbalancing. When you are pregnant, the weight is unbalanced because you have a child in you. Your spine curves to balance your weight out. With me though... How the heck is my spine gonna do that!? I've got rods on both sides so how will it curve? So basically I've decided that I am doomed to never walk around when I am pregnant. Cause if I get off... I might fall over?? I don't get it... Eeeeeek

4. I have also learned that there is another place that milk can come out of you! You've heard of the mouth and the nose.... Now, apparently it can go out of your eyes!... Gross

Education:

1. Some children are really cute.

2. Some children will drive you crazy within ten minutes.

3. Some teachers are really grumpy.

4. Some teachers are super cute and nice and very helpful.

What I have learned from BOTH of these classes...

1. I still have no clue which category (education or nursing) I would prefer to go to for my career. Great! Ugh.. I hope I figure it out soon, I personally would like to have it figured out before my next semester.

The Next Couple Weeks Should Be Interesting!

So here is the schedule for the next few weeks... It is crazy.

Tomorrow (Monday): I drive home to see my family that I miss so so so much! But I have to go back on Tuesday. I am coming down because I have my EAR check up. Everyone please wish me luck. I find out if my surgery I had during the break worked or failed. WISH ME LUCK... please.

Friday: I have a special visitor coming to see me from Utah. This is pretty exciting! I am super excited to see him :) (For those who don't know.. Nick Barney is coming to Thatcher :)) I haven't seen him in like forever! So this should be fun :)

Sunday: I just found out my assignment for next Sunday today... Kinda scary but I am giving a talk. Normally this is not a huge deal. BUT... I am used to a seven minute talk.... not a TWENTY minute talk. Super scared. (Not to mention, the above spoken special guest most likely will be present) But there is obviously a reason for the assignment so hopefully I achieve it and learn something to help me with my super complicated life!! :) I need it! But anyways... My talk assignment is seeking the spirit and avoiding temptations. I am very excited for the opportunity no matter how scared I am.

The next Thursday: I will be travelling to Las Vegas to meet up with my sisters. We're going to participate in a 9k run and half marathon. I am very excited... not so much for the running part but for the awesome sister bonding weekend! Pictures will come soon I promise!

Sometime between now and March 1st: Here is the scary part... Sometime between now and March, I will find out whether I made it into BYU and BYUI. This pretty much decides my future... Kind of a big deal!! But whatever happens, it is supposed to happen and I know I can handle it!
