Today's Post is about FOOD

Today I seem to be thinking a lot about food. So i decided what would be better to blog about than FOOD itself.. :)

Here is my agenda of foods to talk about so you don't get lost or anything:
1.) Biscuits
2.) Homemade Jam
3.) Peanut Butter
4.) 440z of Dr. Pepper
5.) Soup
6.) Chicken Pesto Pasta
7.) Chicken Alfredo

1.) First off, I would just like to take a moment and say how much I LOVE these biscuits. Peeling the layers apart is so fun to me.. Yes weird.. But don't judge me til you try it! It's like having 5 biscuits when you only made one!
HEAVEN :)

2.) The next topic of discussion is Jam. Is there a better way than jam to transition from biscuits to?? I think not :) My mother let me bring home homemade apricot jam. It can also be referred to as Heaven. It is delicious with the above brand of biscuits. BUT confession.. It is also VERY delicious to eat by the spoonful. Yes, I do realize this may result in gaining weight. But since I've only lost weight since coming to college (against the common belief of the Freshman 15), I think I will be JUST fine!!!

3.) Another great transition: What else can you eat directly from a spoon that is purely delightful??? PEANUT BUTTER!!! duh! I recommend it for anyone who may be feeling down. It is quite the healer of bad attitudes! I promise!

4.) Hmm now what can I transition to now??? WELL... Another great healer for the common bad attitude... A 44oz Dr. Pepper at the SuperStop. To have the most successful experience... You must have amazing roommates to come with you. I'd say it will work best if their names are Natalie, Cara and Tori... Just saying.

5.)This is where I fail at another great transition so I hope you will forgive me. Anyways... So on Wednesday of this week, I was looking in my fridge and very concerned about what I would eat for dinner as I was starving. I noticed that I had a squash and a zucchini that were about to go bad if I didn't use them soon. So I began a search on the internet to find the perfect meal. And guess what.... I FOUND IT :) I put the links here for you and you can check it out, it is delicious. There is two because they both did it different ways. I kinda did a mix of both of them. Yes, it does have a bit of a downfall but that is okay if you can ignore it. The downfall is as follows.... It turns out to be an odd green color that may resemble baby food or even baby poop. Take your pick... BUT it is superb!!! Here is a picture of it. I'm guessing this is what it is SUPPOSED to look like. So maybe if you make it right, it will be the correct color! But I still stand by what I said.... It was divine :)

6.) The next topic of discussion is the Chicken Pesto Pasta dish that I made on Thursday. AMAZING, yet very simple. It was so yummy but very easy to make. I was choosing between two recipes but I went with the one that I already had all the ingredients for. I am hoping to try the other, a bit more complicated, recipe. (That is, once I go buy heavy whipping cream :)) Option 1 is the easy and Option 2 is the one involving a grocery store run.

7.) The final topic I wish to inform you of has not been created yet! This is the exciting part!!! I have a date tonight and one of the activities we will be doing is cooking dinner together.. FUN :) And this is the amazing choice that we will make!! WISH ME LUCK... The recipe looks divine, happy, splendid AND heavenly :)
Here is the Recipe:

I will keep you posted on the results of the dinner :) Maybe even the date!
Thanks for reading! I hope you are inspired just like I am!!

The One Day I Didn't Get Ready...

Hmmm. Today was a fabulous day. I may or may not have recieved all of the following comments about my appearance today.

"Wow... Rough morning??"

"Well, when did you get to bed?"

"You look tired. Did you sleep at all?"

Well thank you good people of Eastern Arizona! I'm glad you didn't fail to see the one day that I don't get ready for school. Yes it was a bit of a rough morning, yes I did get to sleep a bit late, yes I did sleep.. just not very much. I love compliments :)

Hmm well on the plus side... (because my blog post is seeming very angry and upsetting and that is not good) My application for BYU and BYUI is finally complete and I should recieve my decisions within six weeks. Wish me luck!

Another plus side, I have some great friends. I don't know what I would do without them. They know exactly what to say to me. (I may or may not be talking about one specific friend that currently dwells in the state of Utah... but that is not relevant to my blog post.)

That was my day today :) I promise I will get up tomorrow and get ready for the day!!!

Well, I have officially completed my first week of school this semester! The easy part is over.... And here comes the homework and learning part! I am somewhat excited, but somewhat not so excited :) My schedule is as follows... Human Anatomy and Physiology, Elements of Calculus, Macroeconomics, Private Voice and Intro to Education. Wondering why I am taking the above classes?? I shall tell you! (because I have very little to blog about and it makes me sad).. I'm taking Human Anatomy to help me decide if I should be a nurse. Elements of Calculus--- BYU said I should take it... Okay BYU whatever you say!! Macroeconomics--- BYU also thinks I need it. This class is defintely my least favorite but maybe it will help me be more involved??? NO clue... Private Voice-- Improve this singing voice of mine please!! Intro to education is to help me decide if I want to be a teacher! I have to do thirty hours of observing classrooms so this will most DEFINITELY help me decide... That is my schedule. So far, I am enjoying it!
I have had lots of opportunities to make new friends and I am so thankful for them. I had a very bonding saturday with Natalie and Cara as we did absolutely nothing but watch movies all day and search the facebook world. Surprisingly, it was sooo much fun just to be able to relax for a day. I forgot to mention that this day involved pajamas and nothing else... Hahaa... We also had a fun institute dance and a fun snow trip! It was such a blast even though I did get nailed in the face with a bunch of snow... Here is a lovely picture...

I also got asked on a date by a super fun guy! He took me to dinner at a yummmmy place in Thatcher. We then preceded to go to a park where a bonfire was being held and we ended up having a good time getting to know each other. He was super fun and a very nice guy!

Another super fun activity I have participated in within this lovely first week is ZUMBA for relief society meeting! It was so crazy and exciting! I felt like an idiot the whole time and I was definitely sweating like crazy but I loved every minute of it!

I've been also doing a lot of running recently which is definitely not my preferred activity to fill up my time. I am training myself to do a running competition with my sisters. I have to be able to run 5.6 miles in pretty good timing. I'm able to run three miles without stopping currently. I haven't tried the big 5.6 miles. I have til February 26th and then it is time to prove I can do it! I'm super excited for the fun weekend with my sisters. It will be awesome.

Well.. I really should be doing homework now... :)

Remembering 2010

As the new year has finally come, I wanted to go through the highlights of my year so I never forget it. 2010 brought lots of fun and surprises. So I now present it to you...

My First Epic Failure of the year!!! The first and most likely last time to attempt snowboarding. I was so excited to learn but I was not catching on after quite a few hours of trying. It now brings me great fear every time I think of snowboarding again... But other than that, I loved spending time with my good friends!!!

The most amazing snow trip ever!! Lots of snow and lots of great people!

Going on an adventure! We were at First Friday and decided to have a little trying on session. It was super fun!

Reliving a cherished childhood memory. We discovered, once again, the Ice Cream Truck. We didn't know it still existed! Happiest day ever!

Climbing the Y! What an experience :)

Bahamas with the Family! Absolutely loved it and gained so many memories for the rest of my life.

While at the Bahamas, I was given the opportunity to hug a dolphin!!
The first time I truly was soaked by the rain! Story?? I think yes :) My roommate, Toe, has a car that likes to unroll her windows all by itself.. Well it started raining and me being the awesome roommate I am, I dived into the rain storm and fixed the situation. I then decided to stay and play in the rain with Cara Andree :) SOOO FUN!
The Girls Night: Such a fun night. We planned an amazing night and just started it with the attitude that it was going to be the best night ever. It truly was... Multiple dance parties, a few photo shoots and a few monster drinks... Crazy night!!
Halloween! This was the first time I MADE my costume... I'll just say that will be the first and last time. But it was a great day!!!
Weekend in Mesa: Amazing bonding moment with Cara and Natalie! We ate lots of good food and went shopping. I loved every minute. Oh and to explain this picture.... Cutest Pajamas at Target that we were so close to buying!!! So cute!!

Meeting Nick Barney was definitely a highlight. He became one of my best friends and I am so thankful I was able to meet him. He taught me so much and gave me so many new experiences.

Well, that is my 2010. Thanks for letting me go down Memory Lane!

Entering the Blog World...

I started a blog! I know it is a bit weird but I've always wanted to! A little information on my lovely life at the moment... I'm attending Eastern Arizona College to get my associates degree in generals. I only have one more semester here and then I will move onto either BYU Provo or ASU. I'm super excited to start that next chapter in my life. However, I'm absolutely loving life currently in the little town of Thatcher!!

I have three amazing roommates who make life the best!! Their names are Cara Andree, Natalie Jean and Toe Jolene!! :) They definitely make life interesting and entertaining.

I do miss my family regularly.. But thats just because I have the best family in the world! Nice and big, that is the way to go!! They each are so strong and such good examples to me in every way.

My mother is amazing and has sacrificed so much for me but she always did it with a smile. She is so strong and kind hearted. I love her so much. I'm so thankful to have been born into an LDS family. The church constantly is a blessing in my life and I've seen what a change it has made.

That is all I can think of at the moment... I'm sure there is plenty more to learn about me... And that will come as I update this lovely blog :)
